What is the CAS-ANSO Scholarship?
Founded in 2018, ANSO is a non-profit, non-governmental organization that collaborates with institutions globally to enhance science and technology in the Belt and Road regions. The CAS-ANSO Scholarship is a prestigious initiative launched in 2019, supporting young scientists worldwide with two main scholarship categories:
Degree Program: Supports up to 500 students (200 Master’s and 300 PhDs) every year.
Non-Degree Program: Focuses on research and short-term studies.
ANSO-CAS-TWAS/UNESCO PhD Sub-Program
A sub-category within the degree program, the ANSO-CAS-TWAS/UNESCO PhD Scholarship, was introduced in 2022. With specific consideration for applicants from Least Developed Countries (LDCs) and female applicants, this scholarship welcomes up to 40 PhD students annually.
Eligibility
Interested applicants to study in China at USTC or UCAS with Fully Funded ANSO Scholarship 2025 must fulfill the following eligibility criteria;
Nationality: Applicants should not hold Chinese citizenship.
Age Limit: For Master’s applicants, born after January 1, 1995; for Ph.D. applicants, born after January 1, 1990.
Academic Requirements: Applicants must meet USTC or UCAS admission criteria.
Other Conditions: Cannot hold other assignments or scholarships while receiving the CAS-ANSO Scholarship.
Important: If you’re already studying in China, check eligibility as some applicants may not qualify.
